About the brand
Sprenger solid wood beds are made of swamp oak (Sumpfeiche). The trees grew for over 100 years and show cracks and a lively grain. The cracks are normal and a characteristic of the natural material, not a defect; every bed therefore looks slightly different.
At Deluxe Sleep you will find three models: the runner beam bed Sumpfeiche (Kufen-Balken-Bett), the Brunhilde Sumpfeiche solid wood bed and the Fürstenberg solid wood bed.
The Kufen-Balken-Bett is made of sturdy beams resting on two glossy metal runners; the headboard is built from two horizontal boards with a naturally left upper edge. On the Brunhilde, massive oak beams visibly interlock at the corners, the headboard consists of four staggered beams, and you choose side panels in swamp oak or welded iron. The Fürstenberg has a wide headboard with a naturally left upper edge; the frame stands on a recessed base and so appears to float slightly.
The beds come with sleeping surfaces of 140, 160 or 180 × 200 cm, the Brunhilde with 160 or 180 × 200 cm. Depending on the model you choose bedside tables, on the Fürstenberg also bed drawers, and lighting on the headboard. Mattress and slatted base are not included; a custom-made version is possible on request.

What is swamp oak (Sumpfeiche)?
Swamp oak is the solid oak wood of the Sprenger beds. The trees grew for over 100 years; this shows in the characteristic cracks and the lively grain. That is why no two beds are exactly alike.
Are the cracks in the wood a defect?
No. The cracks in the swamp oak are normal and a characteristic of nature. Every bed therefore looks slightly different.
Which sleeping surfaces are available?
The Kufen-Balken-Bett and the Fürstenberg solid wood bed come with a sleeping surface of 140 × 200, 160 × 200 or 180 × 200 cm, the Brunhilde solid wood bed with 160 × 200 or 180 × 200 cm. The frame is always wider than the sleeping surface; the outer dimensions are on the product page.
Are mattress and slatted base included?
No. Delivery is without mattress, slatted base, decorative cushions and decoration. You will find matching mattresses and slatted bases in our range.

How do the Kufen-Balken-Bett, Brunhilde and Fürstenberg differ?
The Kufen-Balken-Bett rests on two metal runners and looks lighter. The Brunhilde is a massive bed of beams that interlock at the corners, with side panels in swamp oak or welded iron. The Fürstenberg has a wide headboard and can be fitted with bedside tables, bed drawers and headboard lighting.
How much does delivery cost?
On orders of CHF 100 or more we deliver free of charge within Switzerland and to Liechtenstein to the kerbside; below that, standard shipping is CHF 8.90. Delivery into your home including assembly can be added as an option for a flat CHF 149. In Bischofszell you can also collect the goods free of charge by appointment.
