Sustainability is a core idea for dormaa's future and is meant to foster a mindful approach to natural resources. Together with the climate protection foundation myclimate, dormaa's CO_² footprint is continuously measured. The next step follows from this: offsetting the resulting emissions. myclimate's climate protection projects focus on replacing fossil fuels with renewable energy sources, on local reforestation together with smallholder farmers, and on the use of energy-efficient technologies. Good climate protection projects also promote the social, ecological and economic development of the region concerned. The dormaa mattress is developed jointly by two Swiss family businesses – a partnership that puts traditional Swiss values and short transport routes at its centre.

ManoCool: the cooling cover

Fresh mountain air and calm – that's the feeling behind dormaa's ManoCool cover. On warm days, the cool mountain climate feels like a blessing, and the special ManoCool technology transfers exactly that effect to the mattress cover. At a molecular level, it improves the fabric's thermal conductivity, so excess heat is dissipated quickly and a cooling effect is created. Especially during the warm season, this effect helps you do without air conditioning – a small contribution to saving energy. The cover itself is easy to wash, feels pleasantly soft and is durable, while the fibres used can be recycled well.
