Slatted frames put to the test: what was the goal of the study?

Which is the right slatted frame for your mattress? That was the question the study "SWISS BRAND OF THE YEAR 2023/24 – Schweizer Marken-Monitor" set out to answer. It was carried out by the SIQT, the Swiss Institute for Quality Tests. An online survey was created and various product categories were examined. In the "slatted frame" product segment, BICO was compared against all known Swiss manufacturers of slatted frames. The goal of the study was a nationwide Swiss ranking on the criteria of quality, good value for money and customer satisfaction. This was meant to give consumers an overview and comparison for buying a slatted frame in Switzerland.

What questions were asked to determine the winner of the slatted-frame test?

The various manufacturers are highly diverse, which makes a scientific study far from simple. For the online survey, the decision was made to keep the questions as simple as possible, in order to get clear answers from consumers and avoid misunderstandings. The winner among slatted-frame manufacturers was therefore determined using three questions. Here is an example using BICO:
