Its core is made of point-elastic cold foam: it cradles the small body gently, without letting it sink in too far. Cold foam brings good resilience and an airy structure – two qualities that help keep your baby in a stable, healthy sleeping position. Because excess heat is continuously carried away, the climate inside the mattress stays pleasantly dry.

Firmness that provides security

How firm a baby mattress is has a major bearing on sleep safety: if a baby sinks too deep into a soft surface, the risk of breathing obstruction rises. That's exactly why BICO deliberately chose a slightly firmer base for the Elastica – as the foundation for a secure lying position.

Two sides for two stages of life

The Elastica can be flipped over, offering a different firmness on each side – firmer for babies, softer for toddlers. In the first months, the firm side gives the fragile spine support and lowers the risk of breathing obstruction. As your child grows more active and mobile later on, the soft side adds extra comfort without compromising on support. This way, a single mattress reliably sees your child through several stages of development.

Easy to clean

The cover is made of moisture-regulating, airy Tencel fabric. It can be pulled off and washed at 60°C, so small accidents are never a problem – the mattress stays hygienically clean, and a fresh sleeping surface is ready again in no time.
