Care Tips
So that you can enjoy your new sleep products for as long as possible, we have compiled the most important tips and tricks for their care here. In addition, always observe the information on the sewn-in labels. As a general rule: after getting up each morning, let your pillow, duvet, and mattress air out well so that moisture can dry off more easily.
Mattresses and Toppers
Make sure that good ventilation is also possible under the bed. A good insert frame not only supports your lying comfort but also allows the contents of the bed to ventilate well.
To preserve the functionality and hygiene of the mattress and topper for as long as possible, air the bedroom regularly and ensure good air circulation when they are not in use.
Toppers can additionally be shaken out and pulled back into shape. Mattresses with a reversible construction should be turned over regularly. Rotatable models can also be turned lengthwise. This relieves the material and helps moisture escape.
To avoid damaging the fibers, do not beat or vacuum the cover. Wash the mattress cover approximately once a year.
The mattress cover can be removed via the zipper and — depending on the instructions on the label — washed at up to 60 °C. For a wool layer, the use of a wool detergent is recommended. Here too, observe the care instructions on the sewn-on label. On some mattress models, for example, the sleeping surfaces are washable, but the border in between is not. The mattress core itself cannot be washed.
How long a mattress or topper can be used always depends, of course, on personal perception, care and attention, and how often it is used. For hygienic reasons, however, it is advisable to replace the mattress after 8-10 years at the latest, and the topper after 5-6 years.
Slatted Frames
The frame should rest evenly on all bed frame brackets.
When buying a new mattress, it is also advisable to check the spring slats of the insert frame for fatigue in their resilience. A defective insert frame or faulty spring slats can damage the mattress and should be replaced as quickly as possible.
In general, we recommend a replacement after 10 years at the latest.
Boxspring Beds
To clean the upholstery fabric, we recommend a soft brush or the upholstery nozzle of your vacuum cleaner. Do not use stain removers.
Solid-wood feet should not be treated with cleaning agents. Dirt can be removed with a damp cloth.
Duvets and Pillows
Duvets and pillows should be shaken out daily. This loosens the filling material and ensures that volume and resilience are maintained. Compressed feathers and down are loosened up again and thus regain their filling power.
Dry bedding that has become damp in warm air as quickly as possible. Occasional fresh air without prolonged exposure to sunlight is recommended.
Pillows and duvets should be machine-washed or dry-cleaned once a year.
For down or feather fillings, a liquid mild detergent for delicates and wool or a special detergent for bedding is recommended, as conventional heavy-duty detergents and fabric softeners can damage the filling. Please always dry in a tumble dryer to loosen the filling again after washing.
Here too, observe the care instructions on the sewn-on label.
The lifespan of pillows is around 3-5 years, that of duvets around 6-8 years. Even with good care, pillows and duvets eventually become unhygienic. A pillow no longer provides its usual support, and the contents of a duvet can clump together so that it no longer keeps you properly warm.

Deluxe Sleep
1.1 We provide a 2-year warranty on the serviceability of Boxspring beds, toppers, pillows, duvets, and accessories under normal use, covering material and workmanship defects. For mattresses, Boxspring mattresses, insert frames, and beds, a period of 10 years applies. The full warranty is 2 years. After 24 months, the customer contributes a proportional share according to the following percentages: 3rd year: 20% 4th year: 30% 5th year: 40% 6th year: 50% 7th year: 60% 8th year: 70% 9th year: 80% 10th year: 90%
1.2 For warranty cases from the 3rd year after purchase, the costs for travel, transport, and assembly are borne by the buyer. During the first 2 years (full warranty), Deluxe Sleep covers these costs. The customer is responsible for arranging a replacement product during the downtime. Repairs and the delivery of spare parts neither interrupt the current warranty period nor start a new warranty period, unless the customer has already contributed proportionally to an exchange. Deluxe Sleep reserves the right not to grant any warranty claim for repairs resulting from improper handling.
1.3 The warranty claim applies from the date of purchase and only upon presentation of the purchase receipt at the store where the purchase was made. No warranty claim without an invoice.
1.4 Mattresses and toppers become somewhat more supple with use. Normal signs of softening are therefore not covered by the warranty. Depending on the product, mattresses should be turned regularly to avoid one-sided wear.
1.5 The warranty claim for mattresses applies only when they are used with a suitable base suspension. Insert frames of older construction and insufficient functionality destroy a mattress in a relatively short time. If such an insert frame — or no insert frame at all — is used, no warranty claims can be asserted. Quality mattresses sometimes have thick padding layers, which become somewhat compressed through use in the first months. This can cause slight creases in the fabric or slight deviations in the external dimensions, which is entirely normal. Dimensional tolerances: Please note that for mattresses and toppers, minor deviations from the nominal dimensions of up to +/- 2% are to be tolerated. Creasing or such differences are due to the material and are excluded from the warranty.
1.6 Not covered by the warranty: normal wear and tear, battery consumption, consequences of improper handling and use, transport damage or other damage such as tears, creases, torn-off handles, defective zippers, soiling including damp stains (mold), consequential damage, etc. When a motorized insert frame is used, creases may form in the cover, for which no warranty claims can be asserted.
1.7 For electrical and electronic parts, the warranty is limited to 2 years. A new warranty period begins for the replaced product.
1.8 In combination with bed linen or nightwear containing synthetic fibers, so-called pilling (formation of small knots) may occur on mattress covers. Pilling is excluded from the warranty.
1.9 Mattresses initially have a specific inherent odor. This odor is harmless in every respect and dissipates after a short period of use.
Specifically for Boxspring
1.10 The headboard of the Boxspring bed should not be subjected to loads beyond its original functional purpose. Springing movements of the headboard are unavoidable for physical reasons and are not grounds for complaint.
1.11 Wood is a natural product. The wood grain of the wooden feet is always unique. The natural structure and grain give the material authenticity, individuality, and charm, and are a mark of quality. Deviations in structure and shade are therefore a characteristic feature and distinguish your individual piece. The color of the wood may change over time.
1.12 Not covered by the warranty: normal wear and tear, battery consumption (for motorized beds), deviations in the structure and shade of woods, consequences of improper handling and use, transport damage or other damage such as tears, creases, defective zippers, soiling including damp stains (mold), and resulting consequential damage.
1.13 Slight differences in fabric color cannot be ruled out for manufacturing reasons. The washed-out look of the Vintage fabric is intentional and defines its character. It is therefore likewise not grounds for complaint.
