BICO ClimaFine Mattress

The BICO ClimaFine mattress is a hybrid mattress made of Premium cold foam and metal-free TBS spring elements. It is designed for a dry, balanced bed climate and is particularly suited to people who tend to sweat. The model is rotatable and reversible and is made in Switzerland.

Construction and materials

The core is EvoPoreVHRC foam with a cube-cut surface. In addition, 60 metal-free TBS spring elements work across the whole sleeping surface with SiS technology: they relieve the shoulders and hips and support the lordosis. The mattress measures 26 cm and the core 22 cm.

A three-dimensional ventilation system, with channels in the foam and in the spring elements, carries moisture away. ViscoAir inserts sit in the shoulder zone. The ClimaFlow cover, of 100 % polyester including 50 % RPET, is quilted; the filling is 590 g/m² wool fleece with Swisswool.

Who the ClimaFine is for

The ClimaFine is intended for back, side and stomach sleepers, since it can be used in all sleeping positions. It is particularly suited to people who tend to sweat during sleep, because the ventilation system carries moisture away.

For a cosier sleeping feel the ClimaFine is less suitable, since it offers a rather compact feel. Firmness is matched to body weight: soft for 40 to 70 kg, medium for 50 to 90 kg, firm for 60 to 110 kg and extra firm for 80 to 140 kg.

Sizes and options

The ClimaFine is available in 36 combinations of width and length: widths from 80 to 200 cm and lengths from 190 to 220 cm. You choose the firmness from soft, medium, firm and extra firm. Size and firmness are combined in the configurator. You choose the cover in addition to size and firmness level: Standard (ClimaFlow fabric), MasterFit with Tencel or Anti-Allergiker in double jersey. BICO offers the Anti-Allergiker cover only in selected sizes and firmness levels.

Care and warranty

The ClimaFlow cover is removable and washable at 60 °C. It must not go in the tumble dryer. The mattress is rotatable and reversible, so turn it regularly. The cover is treated with Sensity and Greenfirst as anti-mite protection.

Our assessment

The ClimaFine is the right choice if a dry bed climate is the priority and you prefer a hybrid mattress with springs. For comparison, the BICO ClimaLuxe is an option. At 24 cm it is somewhat lower, and it uses TBS elements in the shoulder zone.
